- Interesting and enjoyable read…especially the original Sand County section.
- Most enjoyable – his word pictures – descriptions
- His writing in beautiful and poetic. His love and observation were best expressed in the Sand County parts. The western parts added to the book were more cynical about the future.
- Economic value is very Important for conservation.
